橋下 徹（はしもと とおる、1969年6月29日 - ）は、日本の弁護士、タレント。「大阪弁護士会」所属。早稲田大学政治経済学部経済学科卒業。東京都渋谷区幡ヶ谷生まれ、大阪府大阪市東淀川区東中島で育つ。血液型はB型

1. 戸籍での本来の名字は「はしした」であったが、「はしした とおる」では「橋の下を通る」という意味になり、語呂が悪いと思い、住民票を提出する際に「はしもと」へと変更したという。
2. 好きな音楽はORANGE RANGEの「花」（小説『いま、会いにゆきます』に感動したといい、この曲がこの小説の世界観と大変マッチしていて、聞くと号泣してしまうほどだという。）（讀賣テレビ放送『たかじんのそこまで言って委員会』より）
3. 時間に対してとても厳しいらしく、『週刊女性』で小説家岩井志麻子との対談の企画があったが、岩井が15分程遅刻したため、対談を拒否した。このため橋下の代わりに徳光正行が岩井と対談を行った。

38歲口無遮攔的律師橋下徹，捨棄近3億日圓（約台幣9080萬元）的年收，挾著電視名嘴的知名度，當選為大阪府的新知事，成為日本最年輕的現任知事（市長）。他也是繼搞笑藝人出身的宮崎縣知事東國原英夫之後，又一位顛覆傳統常識的日本政治家。

　大阪府於２００８年１月２７日選舉新知事（市長），執政聯盟自民黨、公明黨支持的候選人橋下徹以83萬票的大幅差距，打敗其他4名候選人而入主大阪府，他也是歷年來第4位卅多歲的知事。窮學生出身的橋下徹在擔任《排隊的法律相談所》節目特別來賓之後一炮而紅，風趣的辯才和絕佳的臨場反應讓他人氣扶搖直上，被媒體封為「茶髮風雲兒」，他除了律師的主業之外，手上共握有9個節目的演出合約，估計年收達3億日圓。

就算是當上大阪府知事也不能高興過早，大阪其實是個燙手山芋，橋下徹即將要面對的是吃緊的財政問題。大阪府自1998年起的9年來一直是赤字經營，負債達4兆3000億日圓，經濟不見好轉，失業率高居全日本第3，學童學力低落，各方面都失去活力，橋下徹要如何讓大阪起死回生，挑戰還在前面。　　（轉自　台灣雅虎）
